General Education
Eaton RESA works collaboratively with local districts to plan and provide focused curriculum, assessment and instructional services as well as ongoing professional development and coaching to support their individualized needs.
Our collaboration utilizes a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) framework to maximize Pre-K through grade 12 student outcomes. MTSS is the practice of providing high-quality instruction and interventions matched to student need using frequent progress monitoring to make instructional decisions. This framework is data-driven, research-based and provides evidence that utilizing key practices within an MTSS model increases the achievement and outcomes for all students.
In collaboration with our local districts, we are committed to providing all students with the best opportunities to succeed academically and behaviorally in school. To that end, we support the following strategic objectives:
- Increasing school readiness in the area of early literacy for children transitioning into kindergarten
- Increasing levels of proficiency for all students on third-grade English Language Arts (ELA) and Math benchmarks
- Increasing the extent to which students in grades 7-12 are career and college-ready
As a result of this ongoing work within the areas of curriculum, assessment, and instruction, Eaton RESA strategically leverages our General Education resources and deploys staff to continue this collaborative work based on the needs of each local district. This system of data-driven, instructional support for all students will continue to evolve as districts fully implement the essential components of MTSS and align these practices with their required School/District Improvement efforts to increase student achievement. Eaton RESA will continue to sustain and adjust services and supports as needed.
